Addressable Fire Alarm System

An addressable system names the device in alarm — the detector outside room 402, not just the fourth floor. In a hotel, a hospital, a large office or a factory, that difference decides how long the response spends looking for the fire.

Devices sit on a loop rather than radiating from the panel, which cuts cabling substantially on a large building. Each one reports its own fault and contamination level, so maintenance follows the device that needs attention instead of a calendar.
